K-Swiss had a small selection of apparel when I joined the company. As the merchandiser, and sometimes fill-in designer, the apparel collection grew from under $1M in annual sales to over $12.5M in the three years I was there. The apparel and accessories developed into a broad selection spanning multiple collections, such as Tennis, Running, Ironman, LA Marathon, and Fitness. Worn by athletes on the court or on the course, the apparel collection was one that was blogged about and sold through in retail within weeks of hitting the shelves, giving K-Swiss the visibility it never had before in the apparel category.
